INDUSTRIAL PUMP CONTROLLER

Ideal Add-ons To Prevent Pump Burnout, Pump Failure, and System Damage

Pump controllers monitor flow and/or level variables and manage a pump accordingly to maintain the desired levels. Pump control can include simply turning a pump on and off, or more advanced controls for pump speed, output pressure, and so on. Many pump controllers include rate indication features and totalizer, data logger, and chart recorder capabilities. Products that provide level or pressure control are also available. Level controllers monitor, regulate, and control liquid or solid levels in a process.

OPERATING PRINCIPLES OF PUMP CONTROLLERS

Auto Start and Stop

Pump controllers can be triggered by different factors. Sensors can be assigned to detect abnormal changes in flow rate, pressure, temperature, and so on. They can automatically turn off a pump during these abnormal activities and turn the pump back on when the system goes back to its normal operating condition.

Overall, the most important use of the controller is to protect the pump from volume and pressure surge and other factors like temperature. Also, controllers prevent pump failure for types that cannot handle dry running for a long time.

Application

Pump controllers may be installed on any pump type.
